COME and SEE us Friday morning! Best outdoor cafe - room for kids and dogs to run!

The Coffee Project is all about training new baristas & very good coffee. Open every Friday morning between 9.00am and 11am

Available for special events at Henley Green Community Garden.

The Coffee Project began in August 2020 inspired by two teenagers, Huon (below) and Emily (bottom photo) . Due to COVID-19 restrictions they were doing uni online from home and socially isolated. Huon’s passion for coffee and Emily’ desire to learn barista skills sparked the idea for The Happy Hens’ Coffee Project. The Happy Hens sponsored them to attend professional training by Seven Miles Coffee. They volunteer their time to provide excellent coffee to all at Henley Green Community Garden.

Come and grab a beautiful coffee in the garden from our talented crew this Friday morning!

Emily and Huon now train others utilising their barista and small business skills! They’ve up-skilled Georgia and Kayla, and recently welcomed Hari and Damien into the project. They weigh and grind the coffee beans with precision for every single cup. Milk (full-cream, skim, almond, or soy) is heated with care to produce a silky texture and fine froth to deliver a delicious coffee to you. We invite you to try their new chai or dirty-chai. Babyccino and hot chocolate on offer too.

Contact us if you are interested in becoming a barista and gaining valuable customer service skills.
