Henley Green Community Garden is open
Volunteer sessions are currently running on Fridays from 9-11am, Tuesdays 9.30-11.30am and Sundays from 3pm - 5pm.

We love welcoming new volunteers to our beautiful Henley Green Community Garden. When you become a volunteer you agree with the ethos and culture of respect and to keep informed via The Happy Hens' website, social media and any other guidelines for social conduct, gardening activities and safety principles. You are responsible for your own safety, the safety of your family and others around you. You agree to work on a regular basis to be allowed to harvest and share our produce.
We are here to learn about and enjoy food production, practice sustainability and reduce waste. We want to ensure this is a fun, inclusive and safe place for everyone involved. Inclusion and supporting positive mental health are essential to us!

We have some gardening teachers on site but many of our happy volunteers are also just learning. There are plenty of tasks that are not only about gardening too - just ask! We encourage all volunteers to connect, laugh and share but it is also okay to just take a quiet spot in the garden if this is what you need. Tell us about your special interests or skills that may be shared with others.
Thank you for getting involved and being a willing contributor to our social impact. Volunteers are asked to apply for membership of our Community Gardens to cover insurance, garden supplies, equipment and our overall well being.
